Maintenance and Indoor Air Quality
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, indoor air pollutants can be 2 to 5 times higher than the outdoors. The EPA notes that ‘one of the major reasons for poor indoor air quality is poorly maintained systems. As a result, there are large numbers of reported health problems associated with Indoor Air Quality.
A number of factors including proper humidity levels, uniformity of temperature, airflow patterns, air cleaning and filtration devices, dust or dirt in ductwork or other components, possible microbiological growth in drip pans, humidifiers, ductwork, and coils can have an effect on the quality of your indoor air.
Dust, mold, bacteria, and other irritants can result in mild to serious diseases. A properly designed and maintained HVAC system provides occupant comfort, distributes adequate amounts of outdoor air to meet ventilation requirements, and removes odors and contaminants from the space.
Duct Cleaning. Contaminants result in allergies or other diseases. Cleaning your ductwork removes dust, dirt, and allergens that are being circulated throughout your home. Temp is NADCA certified for indoor air quality work and uses an approved source removal method of cleaning. Dust and dirt are removed, rather than left in place to be allowing them to circulate.
Germicidal UV. Ultraviolet technology is a non-chemical approach to disinfection. The method is simple, inexpensive, and requires little maintenance. A germicidal light kills microorganisms, including mold, bacteria, and viruses that are living in the heating or cooling systems keeping them from spreading into the air you breathe.
Humidity Control. Dry, heated indoor air is often responsible for irritated sinuses, noses or throats, itchy skin, static electricity, and building material damage. A humidifier can eliminate these problems by evenly distributing moisture to the air. The environment is more comfortable and energy savings may be realized. Higher humidity levels retard the rate of evaporation from your skin making your body feel comfortable at lower temperature settings.
The Aircuity® Monitoring System is employed by Temp Right Service for the automated analysis of key environmental parameters in the assessment of HVAC system performance and Indoor Air Quality. The automated process captures key data points about the air quality from a residence, performs an in-depth and expert analysis of the information, and provides result based outcomes regarding performance and identifies potential Indoor Air Quality threats.
